Got the vinyl reissue of this recently. First released in 1982. Had not heard it for years and years, very interesting and in parts rather sublime.

Some said the Echo moniker came from a drum machine they used when starting up, though this has been refuted. According to Will Sergeant it was thought up by a friend, The Daz Men or Glisserol and the Fan Extractors being other suggestions.
