1978? who had time for telly back then? Out Saturday morning to Virgin and Selectadisc, blearly eyed going through the racks. Saturday afternoon, Forest, best team in Europe. Saturday night into early hours, pogoing and boozing at the Sandpiper. Sunday morning, midfield dynamo for some forgotten pub team. OK, the Big Match at 2pm our region called it Star Soccer I think Sunday night, wind down at the local.
Couldn't do that lot in a month now.

Especially when you consider you could have golden memories of enjoying a night in with Happy Days, Brucie's Big Night, The Incredible Hulk, The Professionals and six (count em) Alan Bennett plays Personally I loved the Wrestling though might well have given up on it by 1978

It was a Robert Louis Stevenson book about a archer who rights wrongs in medieval England. Can't remember the programme though.

I should have been at school at 1.30 in the afternoon, so how can I remember Crown Court? Quite a good drama if I recall, actors as defendants, barristers, witnesses etc in a court room with a real jury delivering a verdict at the end.

That's right Guess we watched it when we were sick, or during the holidays

Just Googled. It was set in the fictional town of Fulchester which Viz would later use as the home for The Fat Slags, Sid The Sexist, Billy The Fish etc.

The Reg Varney Revue?!
No wonder I was mindlessly vandalising property with my mates on a Saturday evening.
