I read her Be My Baby book some years ago. Sells for daft prices now but if you can find a copy in a charity shop, pick it up. A riveting read which lifts the lid on Phil's descent into madness and her own chronic alcoholism.

The song that started it all. The clip is interesting to see/hear the young girls in the audience going crazy over other girls
And this is interesting as a record of the development of the song (originally titled 'Be My One And Only Baby'). Play it in the background while you are doing something else. As it says in one of the comments, the tune isn't much until you add Ronnie's vocals

An excellent book, exactly as PU describes. Thoroughly recommend it. |
