A good interview, shame they didn't put the phone closer to/between them though, as it's hard to hear Steve in places - would have liked to have heard more about the early days of them being in bands and their thoughts on bands that inspired them. Part Two is worth hearing too.
Rockaway Park, where they are interviewed, is just a few miles from where i live - Run by Mark from The Mob. Friends have been there, i really should go and check it out too. There's even a recording studio there.

Wonder what Penny thinks of the crass (pun intended) commercialism involved. I think it's only Ignorant who does it. Personally, I think it ruins their legacy. I've no problem him making a living out of it but how long is he just going to churn out the same old songs? Crass finished in 1984. Best to leave it there. |
