Currently being aired on the Horror Channel.
Iconic, stylistic 60's classic or absolute codswallop?
A bit of both but a lot of fun😊

It definitely makes you think. And is unique even all these decades later.
The first episode I ever saw was Girl Who Was Death which is so 60s but unlike the other episodes.

I first watched the lot of it in the late 70's and never really understood most of it. The last time I saw an episode was in the 90's so in some ways it's like a whole new show. Makes you think why he just didn't a carry a pin to see off his balloon turnkey doesn't it? Wee bit of Prisoner trivia. What was the name of the actress who provided the voice of the Village's radio announcer?Uncredited too!

^^^^^^ Fenella Fielding ?
I was quite a serious fan in the 90s , joined the Six of One club, visited Portmerion. There must be very few actors who were in it still living. Darren Nesbitt is one.
By the way for those into ITC series there's a few Champions episodes on ITV Hub.

That's it!
Apparently Patrick McGoohan asked her to tone down her husky voice in case it was too sexy.
What a spoilsport.
I think most of the No 2's will be well gone.
ITC were always a bit more ambitious with their sci-fi and that includes the BBC's tired old Dr Who.

RIP Peter Bowles.
Pretty sure he was in the episode Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling.

In 1982, Edward Ball & Co recorded this tribute to the show... and yes, i know... the beginning of the song is a homage to the Spencer Davis Group...

Some budget for that splendid video ...yes, and it's a clever bit of editing, between the original title sequence footage with the Lotus Super 7 and the bands video

I have all the soundtrack albums. Some of the music is ahead of its time, a bit like the BBC Radiophonic Workshop was.

RIP Peter Bowles. Pretty sure he was in the episode Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling. Watched that one the other night. One of the few roles where he went against type and played a heavy. RIP Peter.

A great pity that it had to be rush ended. We never got to see McGoohan's real vision. Never been bettered as a vision of paranoia on TV. Seen some interviews with McGoohan, he was certainly an odd bloke.

Yes, incredible foresight.
His two greatest roles were as Red in Hell Drivers(genuinely scary)and Longshanks in Braveheart, even more scary.
