I hope they win the tournament although the way the BBC will explode in tribute makes me a bit less welcoming of the victory. We need to be honest though and say that the standard isn't the best although vastly improved in the last decade. Given up using the BBC Sports website because of the way they just say something like Chelsea striker in shock move, and you click to find out it's the women's game and then they can say, "look how many people are interested, see the number of "clicks". I would be interested in seeing how many people are paying full price for these tickets as I am not sure I believe, given normal women's football attendance figures, that the numbers aren't being massaged somewhat. I am not misogynistic, in fact the Millwall Lionesses were the strongest of the women's teams in the 1970's and had to go to Italy in the end to make any money from the game, but (and I feel the same about the attention Scottish football gets in England) I would like to see media coverage reflect the actual interest levels in the country, and The Championship, League 1 and 2 get a very raw deal in comparison.

I'm thinking of going to Italy v Iceland on Thursday at one of the stadiums next to City's ground, £15. I was shocked at how poor Norway were as they absolutely destroyed Northern Ireland last week.
I've noticed that the BBC rarely open up stories on the women's game to comments, maybe they think they will be bombarded with negative opinions. The standard of defending is truly terrible. I remember Steph Houghton's penalty v USA in the (World Cup?) final a few years ago it was practically a pass. It's a bit cheeky that some of the women's game is now on pay TV and they are carrying themselves like stars when they are largely beneficiaries of equalitymania. Running before they can walk??

Their wages are pitiful (around 30k a year I think for BIG players) and need to be increased, but then I heard one woman saying on the radio that their wages should be the same as in the men's game and couldn't understand that it's market forces that drive men's top wages up not sexism. They playing these games in "academy" stadiums? I think that and the cheap ticketing say a lot about the real level of interest. No doubt it will be on the BBC somewhere though.

Very unnecessary indeed imo . You pick the best players in the best positions ...end of ( I don't include Gareth Southgate in that though ) , forget colour , it should be irrelevant .My workplace is at this shit now , for the average person it gets irritating when the people at top are trying to inflict their opinion on you about 200 different genders , not talking about holiday or where you eat for fear of upsetting someone else . The world has gone mad , whatever happened to best person for the job regardless of who or what they are , instead it's box ticking as you have to fill the box for the person who has 3 penises and 4 bottoms . I do know if I went for a job at my place now I wouldn't get it regardless of ability , they , like the BBC and many are too concerned ticking boxes .I will be glad to retire and put the workplace scenario behind me then they can tick whatever boxes they like, I just don't want to be preached at as people don't go to work to offend others or upset them.....but it's ok for others to upset the majority . The world has gone mad , in the form of wokeness . As for bloody name badges with nouns 🚽🚽🚽

Wootton is such an absolute cunt though I have to take the other view to any stance he takes as a matter of personal pride. Know what you mean though, and what about representation of gay dwarfs in the national side, is it a deliberate policy by the FA to exclude them?

Odd game last night. Sweden started so strongly I thought there's no way England are winning this.
Hopefully a Germany win tonight to set up a dream final.
