The chow mein was my favourite. My Mum would get me one in when my parents were away. The crispy noodles had to be cooked separately in a frying pan but they never made the final plate as I would eat them as soon as they 'cook curled'. Incredibly synthetic meal but at the time, a real treat.

Wasn't there a story called 'Billy's Boot's' in this? About a young guy called Billy(obviously)who found a pair of old boots which belonged to a dead footballer called'Deadshot Keen? As far as I remember, Billy was pish but when he puts Deadshot's boots on he starts playing like Messi....

Anyone who knows their motorbikes would recognize that as a road bike and completely unsuited to that terrain. The shock absorbers wouldn't last five minutes doing jumps like that. And don't get me started on Alf Tupper and his fish and chip diet....

Alf Tupper always beat the toff after eating ten fish suppers, a black pudding supper, a roll and sausage washed down with a bottle of Irn Bru even when the toff had ran him into a ditch in his fancy sports motor....
Working class hero bar none.👍

Billy's Boots. Every fucking week his mother would chuck the old boots out and Billy, thirty minutes before the big game, would have to go running after the bin men or scouring the council tip. Should have smothered her in her sleep after the third issue and be done with.
