Hey - I'm back as a newbie but was StuW. for some reason I had to register again - hey ho..but this was my night..
Well that was a night to forget last night - The band sounded great. I have issues with the rest of it. I used to love the Town and Country.The security on the way in was beyond what I'd call acceptable, to the point of me emptying money from my pockets, we paid for unreserved seating, call me old fashioned but shouldn't that mean, you should get a seat? Security suggested a seat, so we sat, some fucking aggressive little shit started on us pushing me about because I'd stolen his jacket - yeah right, I should have knocked the fucker out. The staff, bar staff were fucking rubbish...serving loads of people but I was there at the bar - I think that is fucking rude being an ex barman..you know who is next in line..maybe I am invisible, I dunno, maybe I am, I lost it eventually and shouted at them "Am I Fucking Invisible here?" so that was me intending to leave the whole thing but as i stropped out I bunked into the ground floor. A so called medical emergency held things up, the guy in question was being treated, ha!, next to a bar, waving away and smiling like a baboon on whizz. It was just a pissed person. If this happens you get them to a quiet place, so we couldn't stand anywhere near that pillock - we weren't allowed. We could see fuck all so after 40 minutes we bailed, whats the point if you cant see a damn thing, my fucking heroes up there...but phffttt a rubbish experience. A right shame, but the venue was a joke.

Oh no. That is truly rubbish. Like you, I have many happy memories of the T&C though not been since a few of us TPers went to see Magazine when they reformed

It's all a rip off mate..we are only gonna do small ones now. There was a lovely fellow with us last night 6 ft 2 and he said I can't see a thing. Loads of people left before the end, I think because of the same, it was miserable really..maybe they oversold - I've never seen the bar bits 8 deep, or maybe the old ones I went to weren't sold out.So many yellow jackets very regimented.
