Would have thought it pretty easy to prove one way or another legally. Sounds more likely that the majority rules decision was not a legal document and Johnny is reneging on a verbal one because he has the hump over Jones book. If I remember correctly then the whole band got songwriting credits on everything so it would be pretty churlish to Lydon to override the other 3/4, but if everyone's consent is required I guess that will scupper the whole project. Has filming started does anyone know? if not I would think the original songs are needed to proceed.

We all know Lydon's bad behaviour isn't restricted to tantrums.
Allegedly.

Rotten is almost as contemptible as Jagger, and a lot sadder

Has filming started does anyone know? Yes, a friend of mine is the focus puller on the shoot Slightly surprising that they don't think having the original songs is a deal breaker for the series. Either that or there IS a signed majority agreement and they know they will win in court. Given Rotten's comment about not allowing it until a judge orders it, he may just be acting the arsehole as usual and creating the most problems he can to disrupt it.

Good old Paul He's such a good egg - and always seems to keep a sense of perspective and humour

I think Jones says in his book that Lydon has lost the ability to know when to switch the obnoxious act on and off.

I am sure living in the USA has contributed. No one to tell him to stop being a knob

This bit feels legally significant... Mr Lydon said he cannot understand legal documents and that they “terrify” him, adding: “It’s obvious that I didn’t understand what the BMA was.”
(under the terms of a band member agreement (BMA) made in 1998, decisions regarding licensing requests can be determined on a “majority rules basis”)He doesn't seem to have a leg to stand on as he signed the agreement But who knows?

I really hope he loses and gets an absolutely enormous legal bill.
