It's official, I am old. Words that used to have a meaning are now altered to suit political and social situations. I cannot grasp any context when they now spring up and I cannot follow the conversation or debate anymore.
Optics: formerly a series of measuring devices on the spirit bottles behind the bar.
Gaslighting: exactly what it says. A pre electric system of illumination.
Passive Aggressive: How does that work exactly? You can't be both at the same time.
Any others?

Beef used to be roasted and eaten
Lit was the past tense of light
Tea was a drink
Shade was a place out of the sun
Ghosting was to do with spooks

An obvious example is "gay". In the sixties and seventies, it went from meaning "happy and carefree" to meaning "homosexual". More oddly, about 15/20 years ago kids started using it as a synonym for "crap". It was used in this context in "Dr Who", much to the embarrassment of the BBC as that usage is now considered extremely politically incorrect. Nobody would dream of using it today in its original meaning, either.

The trouble for me is I don't know the new meanings of most of the examples given so far.

Copper crack... πSome of it is funny despite it being as natural as getting up in the morning. I love local patter. One of my favourites is the Scouse saying'You've been bubbled' π

Knew a few punters from Bristol from back in my political days, a few stayed in Easton. One of whom has since passed sadly. I mind we all went out to the pub and there was a skittle alley where everyone was playing. Now, this would never work in Glasgow but it still got a bit heated as half our company were Rovers and the other City. Great night. Afterwards, we were in a reggae club in St Paul's....top people too, top women too who were fascinated by the Glesga accent.π

Yep, there's always been 'unrest' between the fans of the local football teams here.

This would have been around 1991. I can't remember the pub or the name of the club as our comrades took us everywhere. The guy was a deceased anti fascist comrade. Will PM ye π
