Trivia fact.
The drum crescendo before the chorus is not actually sticks woman Holly Langtree's work. It was a recording of the whole band marching up and down Joe Meek's wooden stairs in his converted flat/studio, then sped up on tape. It was the main hook of the song and The Honeycombs could never replicate it live.
