My only subscription is Viz. Funnier than ever if you ask me.
I used to subscribe to Mojo but now don't bother. I have tons of unread magazines and books. If I didn't I'd probably subscribe to Fortean Times which is an excellent read, full of the most unbelievably bizarre stuff.

I can get Mojo and Uncut on my phone from the library on their Libby app. Worth a flick through but not enough in either to make me want to buy copies. I’ve had subscriptions for both in my time

Both Mojo and Uncut never merit the cash. There's an occassional feature which is interesting but it's most pap about Pink Floyd or the Pistols which you already know.
VLR is getting that way too. It always has Michael Monroe in it looking like Marlilyn Monroe 40 years later.
Think the Editor of VLR has a thing for him, which is a pity as there's always pages upon pages about him and his music is bloody dreadful.

I received the Glam edtion of Vive Le Rock yesterday with Brian Connolly of Sweet on the cover I ordered it online I'm quite impressed by VLR - plenty of interesting articles about old punk groups and new ones too It's got a slight metal emphasis too which I could do without, but I guess they have to broaden it out a bit I have that, I ordered the glam one and they sent me the postpunk one by mistake I contacted them , they apologised and sent me the right one telling me to keep the other. Not bad, both of them for a tenner. I had the NME and Sounds every week from 1974 ish to around 1980 and then just the NME until it went glossy. Uncut every issue, was brilliant in it's "Americana" period but I gave up on it a few years back when it became like MOJO, a non stop run of Beatles/Stones/Dylan etc etc etc. I now just buy the odd isue of VLR and "Electronic Sound" but only if there's something I particularly want to keep, or an interesting 45 "free" with EM. Oh, been a Private Eye subscriber for decades too.
