Internet rumour mill going into overdrive. Why would you sack you manager less than a week before a cup final? Insiders saying Jose refused to take to the training pitch because of Spurs joining the Super League. Should never have got rid of Pochettino, imo.

They’re after a new manager bounce for the League Cup final

In all the excitement of the last couple of days I missed Spurs official paint sponsor trolling them on Twitter...
Read all about it....
Dulux later apologised....
Following the bantz about empty trophy cabinets and the Dulux dog being a better option for Spurs’ rearguard than any of the defenders on their books there was an irate phone call from Spurs commercial department
“We’re deeply sorry for the posts from Dulux this morning in response to the announcement of our relationship with Tottenham Hotspur,” said a Dulux suit.
“These do not reflect how proud we are to be the Official Paint Supplier of the Club. We’re investigating what happened and apologise to all Spurs fans.”
To which Sky’s Michael Bridge replied: “Look, this season has been an emulsional roller-coaster. A new paint sponsor can’t gloss over the fact that it’s been disappointing so far, but still plenty to play for so earlier tweets will be brushed aside.”
A Justin Wells replied: “Glad to see some are taking it in the white spirit.”

It is good to see Sadly the only way these owners would be likely to sell up is if the fans stayed away from games and didn't buy any merch - hard to imagine that when crowds come back, especially given the number of football tourists who attend games at the big six

Pundits on Radio 5 and in social media are saying the ground invasion is a protest too far. I disagree completely, those who have stormed the ground are true, die hard Utd fans and not the London prawn eater types. For all the damaged TV cameras, fired flares, today's actions show the real and justified anger towards the Glazers.
Real and Spurs owners will be worried watching this.

BBC have got to be condemnatory but I doubt it's what the pundits really think - it's certainly not what the majority of fans think. Protests have to grab headlines (as Charlton and Blackpool maongst other discovered) and a pitch invasion is a good way of getting your message across.

Sadly most Man Utd and Arsenal fans just want a different billionaire owner. City and Chelsea fans are probably quite happy with their owners despite their appalling reputations, huamn rights crimes etc.
Football really needs proper reform so money can be more evenly distributed so there's genuine competition like there used to be and any club that is well managed and coached with good player development could win the league.
part from the odd miracle (eg Leicester) it's a closed shop in England and in most leagues in Europe and pretty boring.
City are gonna cruise the league mainly because they've got the most expensive and best coach, the most expensively assembled squad and the best paid players.

Yes. Lots to recommend the German system although it's rare that Bayern don't win the league

Thanks for that Stu. I nearly launched my radio out the window last night listening to the Glazer apologists on Radio 5. Fortunately, one erudite Man U supporter came on and pointed out that the Glazers took a £8 million dividend out of the club in the middle of the pandemic last year. That shut most of the lickspittles up for the rest of the programme.

Yes. Great article Stu. There was also a very erudite supporter, I think from that same fanzine, on MOTD2 who was a great counterpoint to Shearer and Jenas saying fans should not protest in that way. Like they'd have been talking about a nice quiet protest outside the ground for more than 20 seconds.
