Race isn't an issue for me, but given that the stupidity of most Americans and the fact that the rise of the Tea Party and MAGA are part of a massive and ongoing backlash against a dark-skinned POTUS I'd be wary about running Kamala. Newsom would be my pick. |

The party seems to be coalescing around KH so it's VP pick that's all important
With abortion likely to be a key issue KH could make a big difference
Either way they now have a much better chance

I liked this bit in a review commenting on Trump's claimed friendship with various world leaders, including Angela Merkel:
"Merkel was a frequent critic of Trump’s polices, as Trump was of hers, and once reportedly compared Trump to Adolf Hitler in a comment the then president mistook as praise".
