Malcolm McClaren Johnny Moped could only have ever got a record deal, in those early days of UK Punk, like John Otway a great British eccentric I'd recommend watching the documentary ' Basically, Johnny Moped' made by Captain Sensible's son Fred. It's very funny, with some great candid interviews, including Chrissie Hynde who was briefly in the Mopeds. Good to see Johnny still making records and playing gigs... but i wish he'd put his teeth in when he sings

Good to see Johnny still making records and playing gigs... but i wish he'd put his teeth in when he sings I am in that film, The gig it was filmed at was in Brighton and you can see me a few times. Just to let you know how much I value JM gigs it was filmed 3 weeks after I had my second total hip replacement, I was on crutches and it quite a bit of pain... Johnny has now got new teeth and looks the rock star  |

Johnny Moped could only have ever got a record deal, in those early days of UK Punk Indeed. I've never been a fan and totally fail to see the attraction of the man or his choons. I've got time for endearing losers but that doesn't mean I have to listen to their music. |
