Well we’ve got a local lockdown here in Leicester but i’m not sure how it’s going to be enforced. What’s to stop people getting into their cars and going to nearby towns or cities? Can’f see them blocking all roads in and out of the city and surrounding areas.

Do you think it should be enforced?

Probably for a short period of time.I think too many people are ignoring the rules. As yet there hasn’t been an upsurge in hospital admissions,it appears to be young people with mild symptoms but that could change in the next few days/weeks.

I would say social distancing is almost non existent in some places.
When 2 metres goes it will be totally ignored.
The yardstick will be October/November I reckon.
A lot of people are basically too selfish to follow the rules.
I mean look at America.🤨

I don't think I'll be going to a barber again😎 I've got a pair of clippers and Mrs 999 shears me once a week
I don't miss the experience of going to the barbers one bit.

I have all my hair but I prefer to have a skinhead as it's going white so I shave it once every 3 weeks(with the help of Mrs Roguepunk).
I would usually only pay the barber around a tenner anyway but it looks just the same with my DIY approach.
Mind you I miss my regular barber in some ways as I had been going to him for 25 years.
Nothing like a Saturday afternoon going to the barbers then going a for a few pints!

I never wish ill on the Scarborough tourists but I hope it rains on Saturday and they keep away. Otherwise, we will have droves of pissheads thinking they can pub crawl and when the reality hits that they just can't walk into a bar, it will kick off. I'm sure it would have been better if they'd opened the pubs on a weekday, so the population could ease themselves back in gently.

Here's hoping Scarborough's "Independence Day" goes well I've had a few messages from my local haunts and it's going to be a very different experience Most aren't quite ready to reopen. Some have decided (like you PU) that opening on a Saturday is a bad idea My local is asking customers to book in for one hours slots, drink up five minutes before the end of the their time slot, and of course put your hand up for a drink and use contactless to pay. The only reason to leave your allocated table is to go to the toilet - and then it's one in/one out

Alcohol makes people very irrational. What will happen if people order 5 pints at one time and don't drink them all in their allotted time slot? The pub is about spontaneity. Without it it'll be a soulless experience.

If there queue's then bollocks to that. Hopefully, once the sheep get bored then I'll go back. Just have to wait and see🤨

According to sky news there are 36 “at risk “areas that could be days away from a local lockdown.

Aye that's what happens when selfish fools don't give a feck🙄 Although quite a few of these new outbreaks seem to be linked to meat processing plants The conditions are perfect - low temperatures and people working in close proximity Hundreds of workers have tested positive for coronavirus at meat processing plants and abattoirs.More here: Coronavirus: Why have there been so many outbreaks in meat processing plants? Then again, many would argue meat eaters are self fools who don't give a feck
