So as the Government stumbles through the Covid 19 crisis how bad have they been? The Prime Minister shaking hands with Covid patients and catching the virus, the tactical missteps, missed targets, world beating app promised but abandoned, highest death rate in Europe, track and trace missing majority of people, senior advisors wilfully ignoring Govt rules, etc etc
And, more importantly, will there be consequences for Johnson?

How bad have they been? How good have they been? I'm of the opinion that the previously unknown Covid19 has caught all the supposed great minds out and none of it has been helped by a twenty four hour circus TV media trying to verbally trip up all and sundry.
No doubt there will be commissions and inquiries in months to come and fall guys will be found. Probably won't advocate the world going Vegan though.

I was willing to cut them some slack until fairly recently but now it's apparent that, compared with similar countries, our response has been woeful
It all started with that initial belief that we could let it run through the population and develop herd immunity. Whilst they quickly backtracked on that it wasted valuable time. A quicker lockdown would have saved thousands of lives.
Since then it's been central control freakery, headline grabbing promises about targets and apps (all broken), protecting an advisor who broke the rules, and generally overpromising and underdelivering.

I'm fairly satisfied with Nicola Stugeon's handling of Covid in Scotland.
The greed of the Tories seems to supersede peoples lives but is this hardly surprising?

So all change on 4 July and another step towards normality
Is it all going to fine?
What do you think?
One thing I know, is I can't wait to get a haircut.

As per capitalism, policy is being guided more by the economy than the science. Hardly surprising, even with a 12 to 16 week lockdown for retail/hospitality, economists of different persuasions are saying it could be up to 3 years until we're on a even keel.
Intu, the building management company who run 17 of the biggest shopping centres in the UK have gone into administration, which is not good for the hundreds of shops and thousands of employees who work in these malls.
I'm in my second week of reopening, trade is fair but customers are only locals or daytrippers from nearby towns. Until we get holidaymakers proper, it will be a struggle. I will consider it a success if I break even this financial year.

I bought a razor just before the lockdown and have been doing my hair myself and I seem to have it down to a bit of an art form now. Initially, I looked like Steve McQueen when he played Papillion but it's more like a crew cut now🤣

It seems to me that the British government are winging it due the crypto fascist right of the Tory Party putting profit before safety. If theres a second wave, I hope they all cope a dose of the Virus. Oh,yes and fuck the teachers who will be treated no better than paid babysitters so that wage slavery is reinstated so business can make money again.

Can't wait. Though table service and leaving your name is less attractive

Stupid question but what does everyone think of the pubs re-opening? It sounds like hell to me. Staff in PPE, giving of personal details, possibly ordering by phone app... etc etc...
The only positive would be table service which is something I feel we could do with, particularly in busy pubs where people will stubbornly drink at the bar blocking access.
Oh yeah, and apparently there's a virus out there with no vaccine and no cure... I think I'll give it a miss for now.

Scotland, Wales and NI have made a better job of handling covid, us in England, well we've been mishandled, misled and generally shit on by hapless, self serving, tory bastards.

DM I reckon a lot of it will be unenforceable especially when the 2m rule is dropped and it'll degenerate into mass drunkenness as punters overdo it. I'll be looking for a wee quiet pub and/restaurant however once the initial beer greed does down.

I think there'll be an almighty rush for the pubs, people who don't give a fuck about anyone else will do as they please and not respect anyone's space or safety (just look at the twats flocking to beaches in their masses right now) and those trying to stay safe will quickly become disillusioned with the situation and probably retreat from the pubs.
Finding somewhere quiet run by switched on owners is probably your best bet. I hope you find somewhere like that Rogue
