My Dad had an Austin Ambassador, probably the shittiest British car ever made, you'd go over a bump and the electrics would cut out.
The Shuttleworth episode with Squeeze's Chris Difford was one of the best. Shuttleworth hilariously murders Tempted on his little Casio keyboard.

Great story PU
Never heard Catch The Fox before Stu - love it
I remember listening to a John Shuttleworth on GLR/Radio London back in the day and the interviewer (probably Robert Elms) asked JS if he'd ever trashed a hotel room. JS said he hadn't and that he was "more of a tidy as you go type person" which really tickled me.
He's so good when he's in character. I could listen to him talk about anything. By way of illustration here's an interview at random on YouTube which despite a rather annoying interviewer is a complete joy...
A fun interview with John Shuttleworth at the Princess Pavilion Falmouth, 6th February 2013

A quirky comic talent who is possibly under-appreciated by new wavers of a certain age on account of their being fobbed off with that Jilted John single by clueless DJs at youth club discos

Catch the Fox was the first time I'd heard of him.
He did it on Packet of Three , a Channel 4 show with Frank Skinner (my first experience of him too) in 1992 or 1993 I think it was.
