We've got a couple of chip shops that do Vegan fish. I can't quite get my head around it as it's actually made of bananas and then heavily marinated in a flavoured synthetic oil.

I've tried vegan 'fish' a couple of times and was disappointed. It's one of those things like vegan 'cheese' that doesn't work and is best avoided. |

Just had a burglar in my house.
He must have kicked in my back door exact time as I opened my front door when I came home.
He legged it soon as he noticed the house wasn't empty. Nothing stolen
Door was only locked with a bolt so no real damage.
Quite lucky really

I'd lock up habitual criminals for life.
They cannot be reformed, all they do is traumatise more and more people when they are allowed to remain free after their regular jail terms.
Fuck them. Many of us live brutal hard lives and don't resort to this.

I feel for you Stu. The other week I was hassled in the street by a junkie wanting money. I refused and just as I was walking off, he launched into an expletive tirade at me. I turned back and was a split second from kicking the living daylights out of him, sanity prevailed fortunately. Couldn't sleep that night, worrying about the trouble I could have got myself into.

Many of us live brutal hard lives and don't resort to this. well said, I had one years ago and the police were utterly useless. My neighbour was kind enough to go and knock at the houses in the street behind that over looked us then as the Police hadn't even bothered to do that. Just gave us a crime number for the insurance and pretty much said they had fuck all chance of finding them and it was one of those things. I was more upset for my cat who was quite traumatised by it all. They didn't even go through a little window, smashed a whole patio door window of toughened safety glass out, must have been very noisy but of course no one saw or heard anything. The only good thing is that I believe house breaking is down as they can't carry the modern huge TVs away and muggings are up sadly as we tend to carry the expensive stuff with us now. |

My neighbours leave their bins at the front all the time. Right next to the locked iron communal gate. They probably used these to jump over. I've had two bikes stolen from my back yard in the ten years I've been here.
