From Here To Eternity closes with Straight To Hell. In the song, Strummer mid chorus says something along the lines of: " Sing in tune, you bastard." I've no idea if that's aimed at an audience member or one of the band. Anyone?

Agreed Stu I can't be arsed with bootlegs wiht poor sound quality Talking of which, are there any Clash boots/semi legal releases with good sound? From Here To Eternity closes with Straight To Hell. In the song, Strummer mid chorus says something along the lines of: " Sing in tune, you bastard." I've no idea if that's aimed at an audience member or one of the band. Anyone? Not me PU but I'd be interested to know too

Rick Wakeman looked like 'Man At C&A' in his suit and tie.. He certainly did - what was he thinking? I thought it was interesting for lots of many reasons. Sartorially... Ray Coleman was pre-teenage - despite being a music journo he seemed to have nothing in common with rock n roll. He could have been a 50s school teacher or university lecturer Rick Wakeman in his C&A suit was like a junior sales rep or something - again not looking remotely rock n roll. Could have been a young teacher. Nick Kent was channelling his Keith Richard/Iggy obsessions with an injection of UK punk/West London counter culture Joe Strummer was wearing what I took to be Johnson's Jacket from Ken Market, so moved on from early punk but still firmly the young turk. He was trying too hard to be the cheeky rebel. I loved his line about the Beano and the music papers though
