Unless you think these aren't 'facts'.
Millions died in the slave trade.
Millions in famines.
Millions in post colonial and illegal wars.
Millions during the brutal 'maintenance' of the Empire.
Mass slaughter that dwarfs any of Stalin's crimes.
Sickening isn't it?

Why use the British Empire to try to make your point?
Do you also feel sick when you think about the Romans, the Mongols, the Japanese, the Assyrians, the Ottomans, the Belgians, the Aztecs, et cetera?
Or is it only the British empire which makes you feel sick?

Or is it only the British empire which makes you feel sick? Why not? WE DO live in Britain after all.. A country whose government's have been fanatically anti communist and socialist after all. Of course, there are other empires but the mass murder of millions of people are done in our names. Are you happy with that? I see you don't deny these crimes

I am not in Britain
That’s what made me ask my questions. Is this self loathing? Or do you feel sickened by all empires?
If just Britain why not also the other ones?
All empires did this and many other repressive States too. Communist ones included. History is full of horrors. Any state who seized other territories behaved badly especially viewed with a modern sensibility. Many were worse than Britain
I don’t understand. When someone says it is a shame that none of the "nice communists" get into power you say "but what about the British empire?"
Strange logic but maybe you have your reasons

It's pretty simple.
The British Empire has killed more than any communist state.
Of course, the French, Belgian and Spanish etc all had empires but the British was by far the worst.
In fact legitimate communist and national liberation movements were at the forefront of getting rid of these murderers.
In Ireland, Malaysia, Kenya etc to name but 3.
Nothing strange about that at all.

All very interesting but does not answer my questions
Let’s assume the British Empire was the worst regime in world history. Probably wasn’t but you seem to like to think that
That's accepted for the sake of this discussion
How do you feel about the other evil empires?
Mao Zedong's China? Stalin’s regime? The Roman empire? The Khmer Rouge? Nazi Germany? Imperial Japan? Alexander the Great and the Macedonians?
Do all their crimes make you sick too?
Why do you only mention the British?

It does answer your question but you're clearly not understanding the answer(s).
As well, as being the most brutal empire that humanity has ever witnessed it's relevant to how British people see themselves.
They seriously believe-like all Europeans- that they'civilised' the world.
The reality is different.
If you can name an Empire that's been as savage to the world's people then I'm all ears.
It's not a case of those other imperialists being seen to be less brutal as they weren't. The British were the MOST brutal.
The original point is this-the British have no right to call 'communists' murderers.

I understand the answers perfectly well.
You are not answering the questions.
I already said we will assume the British empire was the worst regime in world history and move on from that point.
But all you write about in your reply is how bad the British empire was.
I think maybe you are obsessed with the British empire and that is all you want to discuss. You seem to hate British people which is fine as that is how you feel.
It does not mean that many communist regimes were not also horrific. Many other empires were brutal too. The history of the world is war, exploitation, cruelty, suffering, especially in previous centuries. We cannot change that.
I will stop now. It is boring when someone will not answer questions and just repeats the same point again and again.
Goodbye

Where are you from?
Not being from Britain I think you might be struggling with the concept of British Imperialism.
Where did I say I hated British people?
If you can't handle reasoned debate you should find something else to do 👍

Slovakia
I understand imperialism very well thank you
Your hatred is not written but it is obvious how you feel. There is a lot of contempt in your words
Your debate is boring because you cannot free your mind to talk about things you do not want to
Are you on the spectrum?

Slovakia.
Ahh that would explain your antipathy to 'communism'.
It has nothing to do with subjective'hatred'.
It has more to doing with understanding political history and how it affects the mentality of people today.
An anti imperialist perspective in modern right wing Britain will hardly be popular.
I think you are looking for a general discussion on imperialism.
Sadly, there won't be many takers for that on this forum.🤔
