Never heard of any of them apart from SLF, Undertones and the Outcasts but this type of page about long-lost regional bands can be a fun read... www.spitrecords.co.uk/bands.htm

The Shellshock Rock film is well worth a watch....
Documentary: The raw energy and excitement of the 1970s punk rock scene in Northern Ireland is on display. Derry heroes The Undertones and the uncompromising Belfast band Stiff Little Fingers both feature, as do the less well-remembered Rudi, The Outcasts, The Idiots, Protex, Parasites, Victim and Rhesus Negative, while young fans talk about overcoming sectarian divisions to come together and live their lives their own way, united by music.

Sean O'Neil with Spit Records and Gary Fahy with Punkerama have dedicted a great deal of their time and money to pressing records and releasing CD compilations of the bands that get overlooked by the media. This book on Irish Punk is a superb labour of love - out of print for a longtime now and goes for silly money on Ebay

A special mention should always goes to Petesy Burns who has been in a lot of bands over the years.
One of the nicest fellas I've ever met in the Irish punk scene.

This book on Irish Punk is a superb labour of love - out of print for a longtime now and goes for silly money on Ebay Would love to track down a reasonably priced copy of that book This is from the launch... It Makes You Want To Spit: Punk in Ulster Recorded at the book launch of ‘IT MAKES YOU WANT TO SPIT’ in the Empire, Belfast, authors Sean O’Neill and Guy Trelford tell of their labour of love in compiling this definitive history of punk in Northern Ireland. Henry McDonald, Stuart Bailey, Terri Hooley, Petesy Burns, William Maxwell also talk about what first attracted them to punk music and the positive influence it had on their lives. The Defects, one of the original 1980s Belfast punk bands, give a live, energetic performance…and the indomitable Terri Hooley chips in with party piece ‘Laugh at Me’. www.amazon.co.uk/Makes-You-Want-Spit-Definitive/dp/0954605705
