Stations of the Crass
For me this was the most groundbreaking album of 1979.
Stunning!

Can't see any mention of London Calling ?
Some great albums in 1979 but London Calling still towers above most of them
Took the punk approach into reggae, northern soul, rockabilly, ska, New Orleans R&B, jazz, Spector pop, etc
Looking both forwards and backwards
Majestic all time great

The Members-At the Chelsea Nightclub. I never thought that they were 2 years late to the party. I would have had that at beginning of 78.

A great album but suffering from weak production by Jimmy Pursey.
Angelic Upstarts - Teenage Warning.

Another cracker
The Slits - Cut Bonkers that they didn't get an album out until a full two years after their first Peel session. It would have been a very different album if it had come out sooner I love the way that album sounds compared with the Peel sessions - other opinions are available Yes, it would have been a different album. Personally I love the Peel sessions and album equally.

The Dickies-Dawn of the Dickies. Good album but for me it's bettered by their debut earlier in '79.
The Incredible Shrinking Dickies.
