It has a foreword by Rollins and an intro by 'Kid Strange' who describes himself as Pete's widower. After a bit of Googling I discovered that it's not that Kid Strange.

I started reading it yesterday and am about two thirds of the way through. Loving it! The forewords by Rollins and Strange are great, as are the fifty pages of 'The Buzzcocks Story' that proceed the taped interviews from 2012/13; these document the story behind every song released from Orgasm Addict single through to the A Different Kind Of Tension LP.
A fascinating insight into Pete, the band, the songs and also the times that they were conceived and recorded in. A well recommended read. 11/10.

Finished it yesterday, some good bits of Buzzcocks trivia covered in the 'Conclusion' section. For instance Pete apparently appeared on the Antiques Roadshow in the 90's and around that time he also wrote a jingle for Pepsi. There's plenty more trivia but I'll leave it at that.
My 11/10 still stands. It's been great to read during these extremely hot days and I wonder if I'll read anything as fascinating again this year.
Last year JCC's book kept me enthralled. What's next Manchester?

Whacko! My copy arrived yesterday. I'm really looking forward to it.
Meanwhile, I found this article about Pete's Starway guitar:

I finished the book yesterday. I found it really good. My only quibble is that Louie Shelley stretches credibility a bit at the end when she credits Buzzcocks with influencing nearly everybody that came after them. Every bass player. Every drummer. Etc. Every 'Oh, oh' and every bit of harmonising in everyone else's song was because they had heard it on Buzzcocks records. Really? The Clash were doing it at the same time and it was nothing new anyway. That aside, great book. And loved the photos too.
