Is this the end of Airbnb?...in many markets, including the entire of the United States, the number of “professional” hosts seemingly outnumbers those listing on Airbnb to earn a bit of extra cash from their cosy spare room. According GlobalData, an analytics firm, Airbnb could lose a “significant portion” of its host community as a result of the pandemic. These “professional” hosts, the scourge of local residents and housing officials, could soon be flushed out of Airbnb in their thousands.Got to say I have little sympathy for Airbnb or those professional landlords who have used the site for a fast buck I stayed at an Airbnb in Leeds recently It was a sparsely decorated flat in the centre of Leeds Nice enough but no one lived there so presumably it had been bought as an investment thereby driving up property prices and denying locals a place to buy

Lol I stayed at an AirBnB when I went to a festival in Italy a year or ago and on the flight home I realised I’d been massacred by bedbugs

I have never stayed at an airbnb and would not support it for many reasons. It is the same as uber insofar as it helps destroy legitimate businesses. But people are greedy and if it looks cheaper they support it
