I watched this 2017 release on DVD on the weekend. What a great band. There is a lot to like in this film and it doesn't hold any punches: you can understand why some band members are never going to talk to some of the others ever again. At the same time, they are obviously all really proud to have been part of the group. Some fantastic footage and good interviews.
Here are a couple of trailers
And the song they named the film after

Andy's a big fan
Think PU likes em too
Descent into the Maelstrom is a great title for a film - could have been an alternative for the Maels, instead of The Sparks Brothers

I'd love to see this but it's £20 minimum for a copy. I had a CD compilation of the same name in the shop once, Birdman, Saints and few other Aussies plus Ramones, Flaming Groovies, Richard Hell, no UK bands as I recall.
Title probably originates from an Edgar Allan Poe story.

The CD you refer to is supposed to be based on the Oxford Funhouse jukebox which was stacked with records belonging to singer Rob Younger. There is a brief segment in the film when you see what records were actually in the jukebox and the first one you see is Anarchy In The UK. I read an interview with Younger once where he said that when he first heard that song he felt like tearing down some buildings.
