Being primarily a cyclist I don't think about this stuff too much even though I do have a knackered old car
Then I realised I promised to take my aged Mum out for lunch on Wednesday as it was her birthday a few days ago
Now wondering if I have enough diesel to get there and back and wondering whether to try to queue tomorrow
Probably just risk it - I'll be fine if I don't get stuck in a lengthy traffic jam but given I'm going via the M25 that's a possibility
What are you fuel related problems?
In other news, Brexit's going well isn't it?

No it isn't.
Racism and xenophobia come first before their own beloved economy.
The care sector in Scotland is also near collapse because EU workers have been harassed home.
It's pointless extending Visa's for EU workers as they'll have to leave before Christmas, who is going to sacrifice a decent job in their own country to drive here?
Not that we didn't tell these arseholes that voted for Brexit that this wouldn't happen.
Now look where we are right in the middle of a global pandemic, which in itself is being used to implement social and economic change.
We seem to have escaped by and large in Glasgow Joe Public's panic buying and typically some suppliers have put up the prices.
They are spiffs of the highest order.

Will swap Doctor's appointment for 10 litres of diesel (in a proper fuel container, NOT a Tesco carrier bag).
I think I became a Vegan because people are such kunts.

Brexit... I get the feeling that the whole world is laughing at Britain. and to be honest who could blame them?
A self-serving government who have poisonous, outdated views and absolutely no idea, or care of what life is like for those who didn't go to Eton or wherever. Their shtick seems to be to retain their power and manipulate the economy to increase their personal wealth, regardless. They don't give a fuck about people.
Re: fuel - I've got half a tank of diesel and nowhere particular to go so not really affected by the media driven 'shortage' at the mo.

I'm a cyclist but I'm terrible in the mornings getting up for work so it's the motor for that.
The simple solution is to cap what people can buy but they won't as they want to make as much money as possible.
What a world!
I don't care for it much-Covid, Brexit, global warming, children killing children, mass stabbings in the street, internet zombies who are glued to their phones as if nothing else matters.
21st century life ain't worth a fuck.

Queued up for fuel at 6 am - got a full tank. Took about 30 minutes
I can now do what I need to do today which involves a 200 mile round trip

I got a delivery of records from the DX couriers at 7.00am this morning, got me out of bed. They are doing early deliveries because it is easier for them to fill up on fuel from 24 hour petrol stations in the small hours.

Had to drive by the petrol station yesterday, there were no queues so I pulled straight onto a pump and topped the tank right up.
Bonkers really, people were queueing there at the weekend...

We went to a wee garage near us earlier to get the tank topped up and there was no problems at all.
Seems that petrol stations near main routes are the problem for Joe Public. When they see a queue, it's a case of monkey see, monkey do.😂
