I have never done it apart from a few spliffs decades ago.
I just hated the smell.
Funnily enough I was wondering recently whether to buy some cigars , which of course have a less offensive odour.

Up to thirty years old, Benson & Hedges gold, half a pack a day. Got in a very serious relationship and stopped straight away, pigged out and put on lot of weight.
Woman I'm friendly with still nips out for one occasionally....maybe to have a break from me as well.

Solid smoker till I turned 60 earlier this year. Made a pact with my missus to give up after my birthday. I did, she didn't. I still know plenty of smokers

I stopped when I was 22 and started when I was 13
For those nine years I was like a chimney
When I was 22 I live on the fourth floor of a block of flats and was wheezing like an old man when I got to the top - that's when I knew I had to stop
A couple of false starts before I ditched every bit of smoking kit - lighters, tobacco, papers, ash trays - chucked em away so I couldn't ask for them back when I weakened. Still hard but after a few months the craving stopped
At the recent Specials gig Terry Hall was vaping away
Anyone a vaper?

Smoking has been seriously on the decline in most parts of Australia for years, but not in the part I live. I have a friend in Melbourne who is a vaper. I didn't know until recently that selling vaping material is illegal in Australia but importing was not not, so there was a massive black market. You see people doing it all over the place. Now they have banned imports except for medical purposes.
The fuckers must be crazy because lots of those vapers will move onto or back to normal cigarettes, I am sure |

I know several smokers, I’m a lot younger compared to everybody here so the people I know generally aren’t concerned with long-term health implications.
Never really saw the attraction myself, I was sat between three friends and a prostitute last night and they were all chain-smoking like crazy and I was almost sick lol.

Where I live has the youngest demographic in Australia, which is one reason for the heavy smoking rate. But the tax rate here is ridiculous and keeps going up. I have no idea how the young folk can afford it |

I discovered that if every time I felt like a ciggie I just had another beer I was okay. Of course, it means drinking twice as much beer. |
