Yes, very sad news
RIP Dave Greenfield He certainly gave The Stranglers a distinctive sound I was never a massive fan but that first album - Rattus Norvegicus - is excellent, and they made some great singles

That is bad news. I loved the first two albums and many of the later singles. Hated him for his tash in 77-78, but loved his sound.
