As Omicron now seems to be on the retreat, i felt confident enough about stepping out for my first gig of 2022 last night. I've been a fan of The Fallen Leaves since hearing their first album back in 2008, but never seen them live before. They are something of a Punk/Mod Supergroup with Rob Symmons (Subway Sect) on guitar and the truly explosive talents of Brett Ascott (The Chords) on drums... nevermind all this 'Steampunk' twaddle, these dapper dressed Gentlemen Of Punk Rock are the real deal.
Here is some GREAT footage, my friend Kev shot of their set from last night...

I've seen them four or five times
Always very enjoyable
Is the singer still getting his flask out mid set and pouring himself a cup of tea?

Is the singer still getting his flask out mid set and pouring himself a cup of tea? Yes he does... and uses his walking stick as a 'stage prop' too

THE FALLEN LEAVES SIMPLE SONGS FOR COMPLEX PEOPLE I've been listening to this new album alot since seeing them at The Thunderbolt last Friday. A mighty fine Rhythm 'N' Beat Combo, who... like The Rutles, enjoy a good cup of Tea, often halfway through their set. Previous albums have 10 songs, this new one ups the ante to 12. Fans of: The Times, Television Personalities, Monochrome Set, O Level, Teenage Filmstars, Pretty Things, The Who, The Yardbirds might dig this band too. The first song I heard by them was 'Go Now' back in 2008 and have been paying attention ever since... I am a Complex Person
