Got this 896 pager from the library and am about 60 pages into it and enjoying it so far.
Will report back when I've finished it (don't hold your breath for a quick review, it's gonna take some time to get through!)

Let us know DM, I've always been interested in his sixties Situationist life.

Got it a year ago , I've read the first ten pages or so.
I cannot seem to finish books nowadays , even topics I'm fascinated by. 😥

I’m 63 pages in and really enjoying it
I had no idea about Malcolm’s dysfunctional family background or his young life. I’m fascinated by it so far

I’m 63 pages in and really enjoying it I had no idea about Malcolm’s dysfunctional family background or his young life. I’m fascinated by it so far Yes, his upbringing is pretty unconventional isn't it? I read and enjoyed the first 500ish pages and then decided that I'd gleaned all that I wanted from it. The rest I quickly flicked through. Enjoy the read!

Curious about when you were less interested - end of the Pistols/Bow Wow Wow/Duck Rock/Fans....

I enjoyed what I read, but going into the 80's I became a lot less enthralled and decided there wasn't enough left in it for me to read another 300+ pages. I covered Bow Wow Wow but didn't get as far as Duck Rock.

Thanks dm. I may do the same although I do like most of his solo albums
Aside from running for Mayor of London I am not sure how he spent the last few years of his life

Just got to the moment Buffalo Gals came out
The record company, Charisma, hated it
MM, with the help of Nils Stevenson, had to sneak a copy to Kid Jensen on condition he played it that night
Within hour Charisma were inundated with calls from radio stations demanding to know why they hadn't been sent it
The rest is history
Buffalo Gals...
Duck Rock is a stunning album
Zulus on a Time Bomb didn't even make the album and was a b-side...
