I've loved watching Fred since the first series hit TV in the early 80's, he was a legend of steeple-jacking, demolition and had a great knowledge of Britain's industrial heritage. His demolition jobs were legendary, basically he'd remove a section of brickwork from the bottom of a massive industrial chimney and prop it up with timber as he worked his way around, then he'd fill the base of the chimney with old tyres and set light to them so that the timber props burnt away and the chimney collapsed. All the while he'd survey the fire at close quarters with a fag in one hand and an air horn in the other. Come the time of collapse he'd sound the air horn and run like fuck to safety. His catch phrase after the collapse was 'did you like that?'. Genius. They don't make them like him anymore. www.youtube.com/results?search_query=fred+dibnah+did+you+like+that
