Again no Talk Punk page would be complete without the Subs.
Has anyone heard the Subversions albums?
I got the first one and didn't like it at all. In some places the CD is going for 21 quid!!!!!π€¬

To be honest I 've only played it 5 times so will go back to it and give it a closer listen.
I think it's me, I generally don't like covers and was expecting the Subs to give it a bit of welly.
However,in the end up it was just pretty dull.π

Loved their early stuff.Heard some of their later singles but not bought anything for ages. What do you think the better later albums are & how do they compare to the first 3 or 4?

The first 5 albums were brilliant but I stopped really buying the singles after Another Typical City.
However, some of the recent albums like Work In Progress and Yellow Leader have been good too.
That Subversions album is pretty awful though.
Wouldn't buy the second one on the strength of it I"m afraidπ

As far as the punk rock goes, the rot set in with Sham and the Subs finished it off

I love it but they did better songs than it I reckon. Incidently, theres a storming version of 'Waiting for the Man' on the B-Side.
