The Godfather is back in cinemas
Godfather II coming back too
Anyone been to see it/them back on the big screen?
And is it the greatest film of all time?

Got the three in a box set and with a big telly probably no need for the cinema. Prefer two to one, the interspersing of Vito (De Niro) growing up and Michael taking complete control is excellent. Maybe the best film ever, mmm, Coppola also did Apocalypse Now. Three isn't as bad as some critics make out just not in the first twos league.

It’s 50 years since The Godfather was released, the first of three films that have had a huge impact in their own right and on so much that followed them, from The Sopranos to The Simpsons. Christina Newland and Carl Anka discuss the power of the films and their legacy as Godfather II joins The Godfather on cinematic re-release.

Good points I love Apocalypse Now Godfather II probably is my all time favourite - plenty of other contenders though

Best film ever? Maybe.
Best role and performance ever (Michael Corleone) Definitely.
3 is well overdue a re evaluation too. Nowhere near as bad as it was portrayed, neither was Sofia Coppola's performance.
