I personally can't understand people who don't like'bogroll in the fridge' spicy food(especially Mexican).
The hotter the better. As long as you have some nice red wine and/or a few beers to wash it down, what more could you want?
In fact, once this Lockdown carry on is over, that will be at the top of the list.
You also can't beat a ring devastating curry, just don't sit down for a week😎🤣

Whilst I love Indian food (along with most global cuisines), a phall wouldn't be my idea of a good curry: as one restaurant menu put it, it's "more heat and pain than flavour". It's also completely inauthentic, being an English invention designed as a challenge for groups of lager louts on a laddish night out. Roguey mentioned "cultural appropriation" on another thread: as a right-winger, that generally doesn't bother me, but when people take something fantastic (richly spiced Indian cuisine) and turn it into something a bit shit (a ludicrously hot curry with nothing but chilli flavour) that strikes me as pretty sad.
We have two Indian restaurants here in Ramsey: a fine high-end place specialising in regional dishes and an old-school basic curry house. The former is a regular haunt of mine and I dined there with a friend on Tuesday: we had a fantastic meal. There's also an extremely good high-end place in Douglas, whose chef was brought in from a five-star hotel in India. The food there is truly sumptuous, highly perfumed and impressively intense, but as that description suggests it's not necessarily the kind of food you'd want to eat every day, stunning as it is.

I'm from Govanhill in Glasgow which has a large Asian population and there are gradients of shops which cater for the following;
A sit down meal served with an authentic Asian dishes with a mixture of lovely fruit drinks and salivating puddings.
Great Asian Street food where Asian youth go after a night out with friends to chew the fat over a Diet Irn Bru.
Fat white cunts staggering out the pub so hungry that they'd eat shite through a stocking cos they don't know where they are(but harangue and fight anyone in the shop anyway).
