www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00170mnThis just confirmed to me that those behind it were just a bunch of chancers who thought people were too jaded to resist their plans. Seems certain politicians were more well disposed to it than they let on. Perhaps thinking donations and backhanders were in the pipeline. I've always thought that a European Super League would never work because at the end of the day people much prefer playing clubs from the same country. Certainly in England , which was going to provide more Super League teams than any other nation.

Will still happen in the end, no matter what any of the clubs say. Money is God now and with hedge and wealth funds from America and Saudi more and more starting to control the game it's inevitable. I also genuinely think it would be best for UK grass roots football to get shot of the huge money machines that have far too much power over the sport.

Hard to imagine any English clubs getting involved after last time - unless it's configured so they can still being play in the Prem too. It was very clear no English fans will accept losing participation in the Prem
No match going supporter is going to be in favour of travelling all over Europe to watch their team unless they're very wealthy
Personally I'd love to see the big six/seven go off and play in a Euro league. Imagine how exciting and unpredictable the Prem would become. It would be like the 60s and 70s with different teams winning and everyone in with a chance

I can't see a Euro Super League to the exclusion of a national league. People simply do not want to watch their team play European teams every week, And how many are really interested in watching it on TV?
Clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid can no longer tolerate going years without winning the Champions League and think they deserve more of the pie. Let them play each other every week and crown whoever gains most points.
