I remember someone strongly recommending this to me in the 90s but I never got around to seeing it.
It's on Amazon Prime.
Anyone a fan ?
I suppose naturally it'll be a bit dated.
The last US cop series I watched was the Shield which I got bored with after initially really liking it.
I still have a few unwatched DVDs including the Wire, the Killing and Boardwalk Empire.

I loved NYPD Blue when I used to watch it
I was also a huge fan of The Shield
Both were trumped by the amazing Homicide: Life On The Street (many of the production team went on to produce the equally wonderful The Wire)

It was the next great police procedural after Hill Street Blues, not sure if it would seem dated now.

I wouldn't say I'm stuck in the 70's, but all cop shows since 'Starsky and Hutch' are fake.

Then they changed the music and it became a goofy,buddy cop show.
This was the best.
