Smash a gary and listen to Venetian Snares, that’ll dust away the cobwebs! Meh, that breakcore stuff sounds like a faulty drum machine falling down a flight of stairs. No swing to it. Pfffffffffffft

Sorry to hear about your loss, L.E.
Enjoy your walk, less than 50 miles left to go!

We're moving back home to Bristol in the next couple of weeks. This weekend we'll be packing stuff into boxes.
What are you lot up to?

Good luck with that mate. Actually, this might be on the cards for us too. It's something we're considering.
Today it's the football at noon. Then after that possibly the pub. Mrs Roguepunk is laid up at home after getting a painful corn removed so no walking or driving so I might go for a long walk.
Tomorrow, no plans but more walking!

Ow, that sounds bloody painful for her, mate!
Where are you thinking of moving?

Still in Glasgow. It would be a bit of a wrench leaving my beloved Govanhill but we'll see.
Never had any problems with my feet at all and I do a lot of walking and cycling. I have a mild touch arthritis in both hips but this is just general wear and tear.
You see all these people in mobility scooters and you think 'fuck that'😄

I fell off a ladder a decade ago, fractured my heel and had to have surgery. I was offered the use of an elderly relatives scooter at the time but I point blank turned it down, preferring instead to get around on crutches.
When mobility scooters first started to appear a couple of decades ago I caustically dubbed them "the future of legs". Turns out I was right.

Aye, sounds great mate. I like the countryside/seaside but I'm a city dweller but maybe somewhere a bit less frenetic. Glasgow is quite a small place, you can drive from the south to the north in less than an hour so it's not as if I can't get about. Aye, mobility scooters are the new Lambrettas for the elderly. Funny to see half a dozen of them parked outside the pub in a row anyday during the week😃

Got a rescue dog on Monday ( 11 months, lurcher ) so did park run with him this morning and now with him on the sofa for the football.
Taking him to a private fenced-in field tomorrow to give him a good run around and get a sense of his character and temperate as he was a stray.

We got a rescue dog 10 years back, she's a Jack Russell cross, 13 years old now, slowed down a bit but still brilliant fun. Enjoy life with your new dog.

My last dog was a Jack Russell ( Jane ), with a bit of something else in her. We lost her just before the 2020 lockdown at the age of 14. I was lucky to take her into work with me where I just left her to potter round the theatre; a real character. Enjoy your time with her. I got a picture of Jane done by the artist Teddy Baden ( www.teddybaden.co.uk/ ). If you've got a few quid to spare it's a great way to remember your dog. I'll probably get one done of my new dog, Adrian.

That’s wonderful wardance. Hope it all goes well for you both
I love dogs - such wonderful companions
Our dog is nearly 11 now. Still very sprightly.
This weekend? Away in the Peak District for a few days
