I was obsessed with these films as a teenager / young man. Obviously not the awful 4th film made in the early 90s. The 2006 remake was a bit pointless and I never got around to finishing the TV series made about ten years ago though it looked interesting. A prequel is on the way. I for one am keen to see this. I suppose it will explore the satanic infiltrators in the Catholic church who placed the devil's child into the family of a US ambassador. bleedingcool.com/movies/the-omen-prequel-the-first-omen-arkasha-stevenson/

I never saw the film, but mention of it always makes me think of The Go-Betweens' "Lee Remick"
"She was in the Omen with Gregory Peck/ She got killed but what the heck"

I thought Billie Whitelaw stole the show in this film.
Along with the music👍

Saw it today.
Ties up a few loose ends and we find out exactly why they wanted to birth the antichrist and place him in a powerful family.
Echoes of the original movies here and there and naturally a wonderful creepy soundtrack (apart from Boney M and a song written by the duo who wrote Sugar Baby Love from an unexpected disco scene)
As an obsessive of these films and the books there was a lot to take in and a few questions posed that I'll probably need time to work out.
Hopefully there will be other films. Overall I'm quite happy although nothing will probably equal the original three.

Long time back I met one of the actors who played one of the Scouts (the pram pushing scene) in the Final Conflict. As a child he didn't get to see the film until about ten years later. His recollection of it all was loads of stop start, toing and froing for just five minutes filming.
I've seen the Nun, lots of jump scares but the story didn't make much sense.

Ruby Wax has an uncredited part in that. Secretary at the US embassy.

There's a good Spanish religious horror on Netflix called Sister Death. A young girl has holy visions and later joins a convent. Slow paced and atmospheric yet a few real scares with a shocking eyeball scene. Prequel to Veronica.
