Got a double retrospective of his in, smooth! At the moment I relax with Highland and Island Scottish Folk, Julie Fowlis, Blair Douglas and Capercaillie etc. Even better when it's sung in Gaelic, a lilting language which I don't understand a word of but so relaxing.

Anything by Planxty and Christy Moore's solo output. I got an album in the other day, Irish supergroup Moving Hearts. Moore, Declan Sinnott, Davey Spillane, Donal Lunny etc. Fantastic stuff.

The first album 'Moving Hearts' and 'The Storm' are great but I like Christy's solo stuff too like 'Unfinished Revolution" which is a beautiful record but the early stuff like 'Paddy on the Road" and 'Prosperous'are even better.

I haven't listened to Christy Moore for eons - should put that right
His brother, whose name escapes me, put out a great album in the 90s
