Yep, listened mid 70's too, reception was not always the best. Tony Prince and people like that 208 frequency is stuck in my head with their jungle. Think I swapped to Radio Caroline somewhere down the line.

The Pistols of course appeared on Stuart Henry's show.
I think they banned God Save the Queen though.

Used to listen in the mid 70's on a little portable radio with an ear plug. It felt very underground/alternative compared to mainstream UK radio. Bloody terrible reception though...

I remember they had an early evening show called Street Life or something like that, which played new wave. I thought it was called 'night flight' but it was a long time ago and reception was kind of fuzzy
