E-scooters are the future E-scooters and bikes are the preserve of fat, bearded vegans. A completely unhealthy way to get around. Scooters and e-bikes definitely got a big part to play in city mobility going forward Not noticed too many overweight people with beards using them in this part of the world - tends to be 20 somethings, clean shaven, urban and in a hurry. Can't comment on diet as don't know any personally

I've certainly seen plenty of fat people out on e-bikes 'exercising' when I've been huffing and puffing going up a hill as they whizz past me.
Yet another pointless fad. If these 'vehicles' are to proliferate then they should be taxed and MOT 'ed the same way motors are.

E-scooters are the future From what I can see the usage tends to be by younger people who probably don't, or can't afford to drive a car and so instead of actually removing cars from the road they slow down other traffic, making others drive slower, in a lower gear, creating more emissions.... you get the picture. I question their green credentials... Also it seems really fucking lazy over relatively short distances, it will surely have a negative impact on health if they don't start to use their legs to get around. Next stop - mobility scooter...

Good points
What we don't know is if whether e-bikes and scooters are being used instead of cars or motorbikes (in which case good thing)
OR
if they are being used instead of walking or regular cycling (in which case bad thing)

E-scooters are powered vehicles and therefore should be regulated, taxed, etc

Cycle lanes? Personally, I think they don't contribute to anyone's health and wellbeing. I would also question the mental capacity of middle aged men using kids scooters as their main source of transport. Just seems like another reason to clog up pavements for pedestrians too

I would say half an hour maximum although it can vary. On average it would be 15 mins.
I've been doing circuits for the last 6 years so I'm used to it.
I could probably do around 10 minutes with a 5kg weight on my back.
It is brutal but what exercise isn't when you get to a certain age?ππ

I remember having a similar 'conversation' with a scandalously dangerous driver like that in Sydney sometime in the late 1970s-early 1980s. Turned out to be plain clothes detectives who told me to fuck off I didn't want to be arrested
