I expect most of us remember it from the first time it was screened ![](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b1/Ourfriends.JPG) The first episode is on BBC4 on Wednesday Award-winning drama with breakthrough performances by a host of household names. An epic tale of a changing Britain over four decades, seen through the eyes of four friends. Here's the schedule... www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001c1mj/broadcasts/upcoming

My memory of this is Daniel Craig wearing a pair of Ronnie Corbett type specs.
Apparently, one of the most memorable shows of the 90's.

It also outstayed its welcome. The beauty of Our Friends In The North is that it's a set number of episodes and then they left it alone

We watched a couple of episodes of this last night and it's definitely worth a look.
I had seen parts of it when I was up at my ma's back then but I spent a lot my time coming and going so the telly wasn't really a priority.😄

^Considering this was made on the cusp of New Labour getting elected I thought it was very prophetic.
Just goes to prove, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Just on the penultimate episode.
I was expecting some yuppie smugfest but it's nothing of the sort. You'd hardly know it was almost thirty years old.
