New Stephen Graham series coming in Autumn 2022 The first episode will air on ITV1 on Monday, October 3 What is The Walk-In about? Is it based on a true story? The Walk-In is a true story of how a Neo-Nazi plan to kill an MP was stopped by an inside man. It follows a reformed Neo-Nazi, Matthew Collins, who turns his life around and works as a journalist for the anti-racist organisation Hope not Hate. Matthew recognises a new Far Right Neo-Nazi group marketing itself with a youthful and clean-cut image – who are really hell-bent on creating a race war. Matthew sends in moles to infiltrate the group with the goal of exposing and ruining them online, but when the horrific murder of MP Jo Cox takes place, the group becomes the first Far Right group to be banned in Britain since the Second World War. When the group goes underground, Matthew Collins one day receives an email from someone claiming to be a member. And they’re prepared to be a mole to talk about the planned second murder of an MP. ITV promises it will be a “thought-provoking and conscience-stirring drama”. Rest here.... www.entertainmentdaily.co.uk/tv/the-walk-in-itv1-episodes-plot-cast-start-date-trailer/

Watched the first one in catch up (why is ITV Hub so shit?). Stephen Graham is one of the best Brit actors around. Andrew 'Gadget' Ellis is a natural as the walk in. Very good indeed.

Having watched this in it's entirety I thought the political narrative was pretty predictable.
Repulsive and dangerous as they can be the likes of 'National Action' are not as omnipresent as the ideas on immigration that the current Tory government propagates.
Or even the mass racism of the Red Wall who having pushed through both Brexit and the election of the current Tory government are the decisive dangerous difference between themselves and the innumerable para fascist groups on the right.
As it dramatisation however, you can't go wrong with the performances of both Andrew Ellis and Stephen Graham.
4/10 for the politics.
9/10 for the acting.
