Do you know Zeo? Original line up might have had more cache 💡 A SDC reunion been mooted in the past, but Buzz isn't interested. He's not bothered about Duffy playing the tunes, though. Thanks for the clarification Zeo and, if you're going to have a Buzz stand in, Duffy is a great one

Thanks for the clarification Zeo and, if you're going to have a Buzz stand in, Duffy is a great one Buzz is a lot more fluid and funky than Duffy who is more straight ahead rock to my ear but there's no denying Duffy's riffing skills. In ToH / Death Cult you could hear Marco Pirroni / Morricone influences. Likesay, there's a lot of good guitar work on that 1st EP including this one where he channels Gilmour in the intro and Buzz in the bridge.

Currently enjoying a big fat Cult revival at this end of the line I'd never appreciated just how great Electric is Since it's release I'd dismissed it as opportunistic hard rock designed to pander to American listeners And, yes, my assessment is probably on the money BUT that doesn't stop it being brilliant too and part of a logical progression from Dreamtime, thru Love and to Electric I've had a quick scoot through Beyond Good and Evil (2001) and it sounds quite promising Are there any other albums post Electric that deserve a thorough listen? Honestly, I love The Cult. Dreamtime, Love, and Electric are all fantastic albums. IMO, they don't really have any "bad" albums, though there are some that I think are better than others. I love Sonic Temple, but Ceremony can be a bit on the bland side. The s/t in 1994 is a strong record, but definitely a stretch in a new direction for the band...a bit on the heavier side. All the albums after are, IMO, strong records in their own rights. They sort of begin to meld influence from Love to s/t and move in varying moods of that territory.
