When the call comes from Desert Island Discs I reckon this one will be in the list...
Sugar - If I Can't Change Your Mind

I only saw Husker Du the once - Bristol Biekeller, '85/6. Seen Bob Mould plenty of times.
Pink Turns To Blue from Zen Arcade is probably my favourite ( well, today at least ).
Bob Mould's first solo album 'Workbook' would probably be in my top ten.

...i was at that Bristol Bierkeller gig too and have chirruped about it, further back down this thread. A better gig, sonically than when i saw them at the Marquee. I still have the poster from the gig

I still have the poster from the gig <button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button> What recollections do you have of it? I spent the whole gig down the front, although if my memory serves me right it wasn't packed? Well done on still having the poster.

...it may not have been sold out, but it was a big turn out, as Husker Du had been 'discovered' by the Music Papers by then. If you were down the front for the whole set, then i probably spilt your pint, at some point during proceedings, as i was Vogue-ing Like Madonna on Class A on the night!

BOB MOULD & KATIE MALCO @ THE THEKLA BRISTOL I hadn’t planned on going to this gig, as… to be honest, it had slipped my tiny mind. But thanks to the kindness of a stranger who donated a ticket, at short notice i drove over to Bristol to see Mr Mould for the first time in decades. Got there in time to catch most of Katie Malco’s set, who had a beautiful voice and songs that reminded me of early P.J. Harvey. I am a BIG fan of Hüsker Dü & Sugar, but have only lightly dipped into Bob's vast output of solo recordings. For some reason, i was expecting him to play a set of acoustic songs… WRONG! (i really should have read the poster properly) he played electric cranked up LOUD and tore through a set of God knows how many songs with the relentless energy of The Ramones, complete with barking “1-2-3-4!!” I was surprised how many Hüsker Dü songs were included, e.g.: FLIP YOUR WIG - I APOLOGISE - HATE PAPER DOLL - TOO FAR DOWN - MAKES NO SENSE - HARDLY GETTING OVER IT - NEVER TALKING TO YOU AGAIN …but only two Sugar songs, HOOVER DAM & I CAN’T CHANGE YOUR MIND. For some reason Bob insisted that the Air Conditioning be turned off for his set (to save his vocal chords perhaps?), so we all baked and almost suffocated in the heat in the bowels of The Thekla. But despite that, it was great to see him play after years of my procrastination.
