Looks good. Wonder if it'll show Hook for the complete sap he was. He owns the Hacienda brand. It'll be nothing but a PR exercise. I only went a few times and found it overrated. Though admittedly I was never on E.

Though admittedly I was never on E. I think he admits it himself that he was ripped off. How he wasn't aware of this I'll never know?1๐ค Just reading his book is a bit of an eye opener however. I think he flirted with all this guns, gangsters and drugs business. Not a good strategy for keeping anything afloat. Mind you having a scatter cash like Tony Wilson on board wasn't always a good idea either.

Just had a swatch at this and even though it contained a bit of padding (was Noel Gallagher ever really a Hacienda regular, the most boring non dancer in a rock band๐ค), it was still an enjoyable wee hour.
However, to do the subject matter justice, it should have been a two parter, or even three...
Still a familar story which has been well trodden and thankfully Peter Hook's contribution was quite small as I feared Hooky's' legacy' would be the main narrative.
Best contribution by far was Anthony Stevens who explained what's 'house'was and how the white man had to be shown how to dance.๐
7/10 for the programme 10/10 for Anthony Stevens.

I loved Steve Morris' remarks in his second books that he could never get in the club he part owned. the bouncers never knew who he was and he'd have to get others to vouch for him. Also, for all the moaning in Hooky's book, Morris took his money out when he could whilst Hook kept on putting his in.
