I was overseas in the middle of nowhere, so music was sadly lacking on my radar. However, REMs Automatic For The People was their creative pinnacle, a bit downhill after that imo. Arrested Development's 3 Years, 6 Months album was fabulous, multi vocal low key hip hop. I remember also getting a copy of Tamsin Archer Great Expectations which had the beautiful Sleeping Satellite single on it, my track of the year.

'Automatic' was by far the best thing REM did either before or after but 1992' s best album by a country was this.

Fond memories of 'The Future Sound of London' .😃 Wonder what happened to 'em? That Stereo MC's album too, even though it was a wee bit'mainstream'.🤔

I hated the early 90s seemed like a really grim time.
Don't remember buying many albums.
Neil Young , Roger McGuinn, REM, very little else.
