Another Round dir by Thomas Vinterberg (Netflix)

Finished. A few musings...


Put aside the glaring improbabilities and this is a heady cocktail. Mads Mikkelsen is superb as a a bored, indifferent high school teacher who, with three similarly morose colleagues, decides life would be better with an increase in alcohol levels throughout the working day. Can daytime drinking help them become better versions of themselves? It's hard to say what director Thomas Vinterberg is advocating here, but there's plenty to ponder afterwards, and it's a very watchable and engrossing slice of Danish cinema
