Apart from the Learning English and TV Snith Useless albums, I've not really given this lot much of a listen. Just got a copy of opium Furs Volk in today, incredibly versatile record. Lilting reggae to bass heavy KJ type tunes, bit of early Alice Cooper surfaces occasionally plus punk rocking. All in German but don't let that put you off. I'll be giving this several spins before it goes out in the racks.
Any other fans in the house?

...Yes, i have a tonnage of 'The Hosen' on vinyl & cd, bootlegs, posters, merch, videos etc. Seen 'em quite a few times over the last 25 years in the UK and Germany. My dear old Mum translated the lyrics of their first two albums for me back in 80s! Even spoken to various members of the band, lead singer Campino is a nice friendly bloke, loves his Punk Rock. But not kept up on their more recent recordings, they started to sound a bit too 'Arena Rock' for me, maybe i have missed some good stuff.

Pretty much everything from the first 10 years and beyond. Their best songs are SO good, it matters not a jott if you cannot speak German. They were part of the underground Düsseldorf Punk scene, but just got bigger and bigger, till they were packing out massive stadiums in Germany. But that didn't stop them coming over here to play small Clubs. They are playing Rebellion next summer This is a ripper from their live album from 1987

We got onto the subject of 'The Hosen' on the European Punk thread. After Metal Urbain, they were the first Punk band from the mainland i really got into.
Their first album still has a special place in my heart. This is, perhaps, their answer to Kraftwerk's Trans Europe Express...

Jurgen Klopp bigging up DTH on a Sky News Interview. He is mates with singer Campino apparently. Always got him down as a Scorpions/Michael Schenker fan, you live and learn....

'The Hosen' are SO big in Germany. Everybody has heard of them in all walks of life.
I have spoken to Campino a few times, when they have played in the UK. He seemed remarkably level headed.
